Hey all, relatively new to this online poker stuff, I started out playing $5/$10 which is what I played in B&M . Played 2000 hands did pretty well. Pokertracker labeled me as a semi loose aggressive passive. After reading FTP and getting Small Stakes Hold em book, I decided to become more aggressive and Tight -- a TAGG i guess you all say.

I changed my game -- moved down to $2/$4 for practice. I feel I am playing the way I want. My aggressive number are above 2 now and I feel I am more in command of the hand by being aggresive. But I am taking a small beating. (only about 1000 hands)

I may be calling down to many hands because I was aggressive early, and now I don't want to release a hand.

But also, I am getting drawn out on quite a bit. Hopefully, this is just a variance and I am on the right track.

I guess I am looking for advice, if you are aggressive early, raise pre flop and bet/raise the flop, when to let go.

Maybe I am just running second best right now, and this will pass

I will submit some HH when I get off work

You should be playing no higher than 2/4 if you're playing 5/10 B&M. Online plays A LOT harder at lower dollar amounts because players like me can make a nice living playing small stakes since the hands are delt faster and we can 4-8+ table. A lot of my profit comes from guys like you that probably do ok at the local 4/8 game then figure the Party 3/6, 5/10 or whatever game must be a cakewalk.

Sounds like you're going to have to tear apart your game and really rethink things. Buy a copy of Small Stakes Hold'em, I can't do what it'll do for you justice in a single post.

How bad of a beating are you taking? Is this 50BB, 200BB, what? It could just be a little bit of variance unfortunately occuring at the same time as your your change in style of play. If it isn't too large and you are following SSH guidelines, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It will pass.

Where in NC are you?

I am only down about 50BB -- I have studied the HH and I don't think I could have saved much. I just think its a bad run. Alot people hitting bigger sets, and straights and flushes on the river.

I think I am on the right track.

I played about 6 am, this morning, got up a quick $30 ($2/$4) on a really fishy table, then Party reboots the servers at 6:25 arrggg.

I am in the Pinehurst Area seb Where are you.
