ok, so I figured I am a 3-1 dog here but for $4 extra I can win $20.
kinda ballsy with bottom set, but villain here seemed to be stacking off easily with flushes and straights
I normally had been doing stuff like this with better sets like 1010-AA but thought I had a decent read here.
but I'm a total omaha newb, so maybe I just suck?

yuck
You'll learn how bad bottom set/2pr are the more you play. Turn is a gross spot as who knows wth he could have. River's a fold.

If villain is predictable and will stack off with a straight/flush even after the board pairs, sure. But against most I check behind on that turn because we have such bad negative implied odds with so many draws out there.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

yes, villain is blowing chips up even on paired boards. I didn't have him on a set, to me he was raising with the nut straight and a draw, with other villains I'd say river is a fold but I instacalled it against this guy
I'm not even playing 2 pair, can you even win hands with that in omaha?
let's say instead of 22 I have JJ or KK for a pretty high set. How is it then?

Yeah KK and JJ you definitely call to try to boat up. At least then when you make a boat you are almost sure that you're good. The problem with 22 on that board is that if the K or J pairs, 2 pair just sucked out and you will have to pay it off most times.

Why not just fold this garbage preflop?

I have to admit, I don't really know what I'm doing. A pair and an ace high fd looks good to me, lol
I guess I should read more about starting hands, but I seem to be making money knowing nothing and getting overpaid on FHs
