I'm pretty new to plo... I've been playing a bit on stars and tilt and seem to be doing OK, can run really bad but also quite good (mostly against post flop fish who are you getting it in way too light). My question is... I'm playing 6-max and am playing anywhere from 50%-70% of hands. I do realise this is way too high... I generally look for hands that work together, higher is better and nut flush draws. I also know I'm defending my blinds way too much.... like pretty much most times unless its three bet. I'm reading "The PLO book" which says 20-30%... EEK. Can you be a long term winning player at 50%? surely you can if you just hunt out the fish and one table? (I've noticed I get killed multi tabling but when I watch closely what everyone is doing I do pretty alright). any help would be appreciated... I guess maybe I'm playing hands like a suited ace A224 in EP and then probably calling a raise... I know probably terrible, acceptable in LP? hands like 2346 in the same way.
Be Kind
Also I should note that I do look for position... and I do take stabs at alot of pots which is defintely profitable both for bluffing and getting paid later on

depends how bad they are.
fold any hand from the blinds you would not call with on the BU for a start, the money you have in the pot is not relevant. then probably cut 50% off that
you're playing hands a lot worse than A224ns and 6423 if you're hitting 70%.
I don't play a lot of small pairs, but if they are bad enough that you are stacking off with any set that would be fine, and a big difference from the way the "book" will tell you to play.
at 1/2 FR there are lots of tables soft enough I can run 50/30. At 6 max there are a lot more aggro guys that won't let you get away with it.

I would just toss the 2346 crap, you just hoping to make straights and sometimes they are dominated. Might as well be patient. Also in EP I wouldn't play suited aces unless i have something working for it like A556. Even then, im a nit from EP.

I'd much rather have AT74 than A556 with a nut suit fwiw, probably not playing either in EP 6 max but you'll flop two pair or sd + FD (or flop one and turn the other) more often than set + FD.

Look up an Omaha point system for some starting guidance (i.e. determining which hands are horrible). Run your equity on all-in hands, maybe you're getting crushed by your garbage?
