Alright, just got back from the casino and jes I was slummin at the 2/4 tables. Here is my favorite hand of the night:
--ok, some background, this player is a tight/passive nit. The orbit before I had been bluffed of a TT5 board holding A5 and some jackass showed me K9o. I was running bad and I tilted, but here is the hand:
2/4 HE 10 handed
Hero is MP2 with 8c4c
2 calls, 1 fold, hero calls (do not analyze this) 2 folds, CO raises, button folds, 4 folds, hero calls
Flop: Kc8h3s
Hero checks
CO bets
Hero raises
CO calls
Turn: Kd
Hero bets
CO folds and shows JJ
--Hero shows 84s
OK, I am not one for making plays at this form of limit; however, I felt I could not have found a better spot to due so than this one. There were many factors that allowed me to make this play:
1. Villain could actually fold a semi-strong hand
2. Villain could be put on a very tight range
3. Hero was OOP and knew villain would cbet
OK, I knew villain had 1 of 3 hands: TT/JJ/QQ. Why is this? Because these types of players only seem to raise these hands preflop. Seriously, I've seen this player limp AA/KK numerous times. Something about them makes them feel those hands don't need PF protection but QQ-TT does. Anyways, the perfect flop came for me to c/r. Had I been 3bet I wouldve folded, had he called my turn bet I would have fired at the river. I just think it is an interesting hand. Everyone always says no one will ever fold in these games, and that everyone will always chase to 5th street, however, I think if you are choosey with who you do it to that you can make bluffs at levels even this small. I am going to post a few more hands in another thread but I wanted to but this one by itself.
