Against most players I would cap the flop then bet/3-bet the turn.

But against a known passive player who wouldn't raise AQ on the turn if I capped the flop I think a better line is calling the flop 3-bet and check/raising the turn.

This assumes your opponent is equally likely to have one of those hands in that range; a pretty good assumption really. If that range were wider or if you could assign a higher liklihood to AQx over AA and QQ (not exactly easy to do really) your edge would be larger. Is that difference even worth considering? (my guess is not really since you'd assign other hands much smaller probabilitites anyways).

Fnord, if you don't mind running the numbers: adding hands like Q7s and Q6s to that range, what does it do to the equity numbers, how dramatic a change is it?

What about on the flop adding hands like KQx, and QJs?

Putting his hand against a very pessimistic range shows he's getting the best of it through the turn. Figure a real villian has something silly here maybe 5-10% of the time or throw in a flush draw as a reasonable holding and the turn becomes a clear 3-bet. Once we establish that, I don't see the point of tweeking with the numbers further.

How do you determine equity percentage?

Also I'm assuming you have a cute little website that does this for you - what is it?
