Hero bets, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 17.25 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has 7c 6h (straight, eight high).
MP3 doesn't show.
CO has 5d Th (three of a kind, fives).
Outcome: Hero wins 17.25 BB.

You keep reraising here, or slowdown as I did? Lord knows I can't afford to miss bets, but I've been getting in a lot when I'm a very strong second-best.

I put him on a five, but it could have easily been a slowplayed set. Every set I've seen played about like that, raising the turn. Not to mention I fear people hitting their kicker like nothing else since I started this limit crap (did I say crap? I mean...uhh game)...it happens constantly.

I cap the turn, lead and call a raise on the river.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I like it.

The turn call made me cringe.

This is a very very easy turn 3-bet. Then if he caps the turn, it's still a very easy lead on the river.

Saw you at the table this weak. Either your cards sucked or you play way too weak/tight in the over 100 hand stretch I saw.

I'm probably weak/tight.

I was a NL camper.

I'm workin' on it.

I don't exactly how you mean, though. I play my big hands hard and fast, until I think I might be beaten. And apparently in limit, you play them hard and fast a little longer...but maybe you saw a crappy stretch.

I had a question about blind defense and stealing. Is it even an issue at this limit? I see a lot of rasies out of the cutoff when there's no limps. Is that a standard play I should be making?

hell ya blind defense is an issue, you start to see it at 2-4+

There is a huge range of hands you should be calling button/CO raises with in the BB.
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, T.
6 folds, SB raises, Hero calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 4, A, A (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 7 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (7 BB) K (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

SB shows 83o
Hero wins $34.50 from the main pot with a pair of aces with jack kicker

I had a feel this guy didn't have shit on the flop, so i called him with J high and won.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

Yes, 2-4 is about the limit where table selection and blind wars become an important part of being more than a marginal winner.
