I hadn't been to Hollywood Park for awhile, so I went back there last night to play in their 15-30 game. (It's still a very soft game, which is nice to know.)

Here's the question. The blinds are $10 and $15, and the action sees a lot of family pots. Assuming your read is that the BB will not be raising (pretty safe assumption), what semi-trash hands should you be willing to call with in the SB in a 7-, 8-, or 9-way pot? Is it any two cards? Remember, you are getting 27-1 on your call in a 9-way pot.

KoRnholio will become famous soon enough
I'd say pretty much anything but the totally hopeless hands, those that really *need* trips or 2 pair on the flop to be a contender. I'd dump any offsuit 93, 92, 83, 82, 72.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

In any given situation, to play ATC, you need about 9-1 odds if you only count on continuing when you flop 2pair or better (not counting paired boards for 2pair) or 2cards fds or oesds.

This means, you can clearly play atc in your example. Personally i would only even consider a muck with 32o and 42o, but would end up playing them anyways.

Consider your implied odds as ENORMOUS. If normally you need 9-1, you are getting better, but are also paying less than usual in the SB, and even less because of the structure. Meaning, if u do get lucky, any BB that you make post is 6x your initial investment (just for 1 BB!!!). Imagine that... in a family pot, its hard to imagine you wont at least get 1BB/street at a bare minimum (normally more).

now, if you were not on the sb, I would muck the worst 5% of hands, since your implied odds drastically go down if you have to invest 1/2 BB instead of 1/6 BB.

ATC...FTW! you are getting over 20:1 in virtually all spots if hands are regularly going 7 handed. i will see a flop with T3o here every time.

you know what you are looking for in a 7way flop oop. so, dont make loose flop peels with your trash. but, otherwise, flop cheap monsters, get paid.
