How do you handle situations where you have AK in a blind stealing situation vs an aggressive opponent and completely miss the flop? Should you fold to a turn check/raise? Should you call down no matter what? I seem to be finding that the one situation I seem to be bad at is steal situations and knowing when to call down and when to fold when I miss. Here are some examples of hands I probably played poorly.

BB is a 15/11 player who folds his BB to a steal 38% of the time. His play this hand really caught me by surprise and I didn't know how to react to the river bet. I assume I am not good often enough to call the river, but should I even bother betting the turn with that board out and knowing that this guy is likely to bluff at me even if he doesn't have anything?

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, K.
4 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.33 SB) 3, J, Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3.16 BB) 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5.16 BB) J [color:#0000FF](2 players)
BB bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 6.16 BB

This guy is a 18/9 player who only folds his BB 18 percent of the time to a steal. I was expecting him to play back at me and the fact that he didn't until late should have sent off a warning flag....

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with K, A.
6 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.33 SB) 7, 4, 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3.16 BB) 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, [color:#CC3333]BB raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.16 BB) 9 [color:#0000FF](2 players)
[color:#CC3333]BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.16 BB

This guy is a 16/7 who folds his blinds to a steal 50% of the time, but is pretty aggressive post flop usually. Is 3-betting the flop the right move in this situation?

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, K. CO posts a blind of $3.
5 folds, CO (poster) checks, [color:#CC3333]Hero raises, 2 folds, CO calls.

Flop: (5.33 SB) 7, Q, 6 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO folds.

Final Pot: 5.16 BB

Hand 1: I call the river, you will see something stupid too often. However, quite often you will be beat by something stupid that bluffed the river.

Hand 3: I'm usually just calling this down, looks like he may have actually laid down a better hand.

Are you calling and then folding the turn unimproved? Or are you calling this down all the way? Do you basically ever fold AK in a steal situation?

Not without a REALLY good reason. I'm happy when an aggro opponent takes over the hand with a possible non-pair. Calling is really easy. Raising the river when I catch my A or K is even eaiser.

BTW, don't think of it as stealing. You're playing the best hand aggressivly.

This seems like solid advice in a blind steal situation. Especially when you are "stealing" with AK.

It depends. The Party 2/4 and 3/6 games are just too aggro right now to fold marginal hands to aggression from unknown and aggro opponents. Particularly when facing a weak lead.

Caro has a pretty simple answer for aggro opponents, check/call more.
