Beaver and I have been talking about it and he questions some of my plays. Wondering what your opinions are:

Situation 1:

Villain is 30/20, Folds SB to steal 60-70% of the time.

Hero is Button and has

3 Folds, Hero Raises, SB Reraises, Hero Caps....

Situation 2:

Villain is 40/20 and doesn't fold to many (if any) blind steals.

Hero is Button and has :Kc: :Qc:

3 Folds, Hero Raises, SB Reraises, Hero Caps....

Situation 3:

Similar to previos two, but hero has a hand like A5o and Raises/caps preflop against loose defenders.

I'm still not sure I agree with your metagame idea of capping anything you raise with. It just seems too spewy

It's not capping anything i raise with, although it may seem like it. Its more or less a deception than anything.

KQs in this instance was against a 50% defender and is likely to be defending a worse hand. It's pretty much capping any Ace or any pair, and really me and him disagree on the any Ace.

If you cap preflop with AJo in a blind steal, then why not ATo or A9o or even lower? Your ace is pretty powerful, but I was wondering what some other people think.

I thought I heard you say that you cap anything you steal with and are faced with a 3bet back for deception purposes.

I don't think that deception purposes can make up the value you lose by capping.

it totally depends on how your opps play postflop.

If they can't fold once they cap a flop (and a lot can't) then I'd rather just call and play postflop.
