Does anyone have any tips/advice or anything i can read to study up on this? I feel im pretty good with the range of hands i steal and defend with...and how i play postflop if someone calls me...but i run into real trouble when i get someone playing back at me, by 3-betting me preflop or by betting into or check raising me on the flop.

The best advice you can find is probably by running a search here on FTR. Very few books mention proper blind defense strategy.

Quck thought: For a blind steal, realize that the average random hand in Hold em is somewhere around Q9o In a loose passive game, it is probably incorrect to raise with any hand that does not fare well against a hand like Q9, even in a steal attempt.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
