BB is 95/0/2
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 7.
4 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 3, J, A (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

OK, maybe he has a 3. Drop it here?

River: (9 BB) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Thoughts?

Don't bluff (or blind steal) from a calling station!

But yeah, the only hand you beat is JX. I could find a fold, since you are owned by, like A9.

A9 is a split pot.

Usually these 95/0 types aren't raising without a made hand. However, if the 2 in (95/0/2) is total aggression, then I think you have to call down. Someone 95/0 doesn't get a 2 TA without betting and raising a lot postflop.

If he has a 3, oh well.

I play it the same. Overall, you need to be more careful stealing out of position. Playing your hand unimproved is going to be a lot harder, particuarly if the BB is aggressive.

Wow, 2 mistakes in the same post.

I thought 95/0/2 was passive, not laggy. Just not used to reading it that way. What's the 0? PFR?

Missed the 2-pair for the split pot on bad kickers - he would need AK. Anyway, my advice was irrelvant (more so than usual) since I thought you were scared by his raises....

I played a guy like that last night... PFagg 1.75, total 3.48, 80% V$IP. He dropped $300 (2/4) in 50 hands. Sadly, I only got in 1 hand (with QQ) before he busted...

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, Q.
2 folds, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, BB caps, MP1 folds, MP3 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (13.50 SB) 8, 4, 2 (3 players)
BB bets, MP3 calls, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, MP3 folds, Hero caps, BB calls.

Turn: (11.25 BB) Q (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, Hero calls.

River: (19.25 BB) 9 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

Final Pot: 23.25 BB

Results in white below:
BB has 8d 6d (one pair, eights).
Hero has Qd Qh (three of a kind, queens).
Outcome: Hero wins 23.25 BB.

I adopted the "standard" 2+2 notation for stats.

VP$IP/PFR%/Tot-AF ... Sorry for all the confusion
