In a situation where you know the CO or Button are attempting to steal, at what point do you defend A,xs (A,8s; A,2s)? How would you defend in the SB? BB?
This came up last night and I mucked A,2s to a steal in the SB, but was tempted to re-raise.

Do you have a hand history(ies) you can post as examples where you re-raised in this situation? I am curious as to how it played out for you.

PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Preflop: Hero is BB with 3 , A .
2 folds, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls.
Flop: (6 SB) 6 , 5 , 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.
Turn: (4 BB) K (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.
River: (6 BB) 9 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.
Final Pot: 10 BB
Results in white below:
Hero has 3c Ac (flush, ace high).
SB has Kd Jc (two pair, kings and sixes).
Outcome: Hero wins 10 BB.
lol this was the only example i could find. how's that for selective memory? i've been on a bad run lately, so my advice is probably aggression biased. just go with your read on the opponent. you only 3bet someone when you suspect they are stealing and will FOLD against continued aggression. and if not, the A has the showdown value of telling them to fuck off next time...that you are willing to G@/\/\B00L.

Thanks for the example. I had only one situation last night like this where I thought I might get a steal attempt, but it folded around to me in the SB (I raised of course) If I get one soon, I will re-raise from the Blinds and post the result.

I just looked up my blind defense with Axs where x <= 9 over my last 8000 hands or so, and I've been dominated on every one, though it's an admittedly small sample.
