Preflop, I think you were ok for the call being in the big blind. A SB 3bet like that shows strength, probably higher than 99. CO have AK or the flush?

good slowdown on the turn, the A of spades completes 2 draws

From the BB with that many people in the pot, I think you are getting the right implied odds to just call the 3-bet and try and hit your set. This is a hand where you are most likely not going to be able to fold everybody out of the hand and probably need to hit your set to win. I personally wouldn't cap, because that would just reduce the odds you are getting.

I like the PF cap. Playing PS 1/2 I found that when playing PPs raising is probably your best play from any position. 99 has great implied odds here anyway. You're squeezing3 limpers who have to fold or call the cap for 3 bets. I love this play. It's either dead money or more implied odds if you hit...
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

If you call, you are getting great implied odds to hit a set. If you raise your odds for a set may be reduced, but that is made up for with your extra aggression, which may allow you to fold stronger hands out of the pot now or later. Personally, I like to cap it, but I see nothing wrong with calling.

i personally like calling preflop because it gives the chance for someone (which i think is very likely) to cap it and narrow their hand down for us.

Given that you're behind most of the time here preflop, are you really going to win a big enough pot when you hit a set often enough to justify putting in the 4-bet preflop?

Edit: I don't know how to read. I like just a call preflop from the BB in this situation.
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol

Calling is fine too. I like the raise. Remember to say "GAMB00L"!

Consider that in bigger games you're more likely to get some of the limpers to fold.

The river 3-bet looks kinda aggro to me, I would just call HU to avoid a cap.
