Hi Guys,
This is going to be a long post so beware .

I wanted to share my first significant milestone in my poker life . I reached my first $10,000 winnings in Live B&M poker yesterday.

FTR has been an integral part of my poker development and without it i would be a fish in the sea swimming towards the sharks . THANK YOU FTR .

I would like to thank these following players particularly. Please dont be offended if you have helped out my play and dealing with downswings in even a single post of mine but your name is not mentioned here .

Fnord and Hypermegachi (for commenting on my every single post in my begining days of poker), Xanadu (for offering to look into my PT database during my downswing that i never took up)
Other people who helped me through my downswing and plays are Nehmer, Pokerfanatic, Ellipsisjeff, Demiparadigm, Kessler, Element187, outphase, ihategnomes,Trikflow77,ArcticKnight,Rondavu

I started playing B&M regularly from June 2005 and played only $2-$4 and $3-$6 till September 2005. Then I was going through a huge downswing especially at $3-$6 and gave up for a month. You FTR guys helped me out so much through this downswing. I moved down from $3-$6 to $2-$4 (then to $1-$2 and then $1-$0.5 online). My confidence was shit and i felt my poker was coming to an end. But you guys kept encouraging me, listening to my bad beat stories and having patience and still helping me out and I am VERY VERY thankful to you. sometimes when I am going through a downswing, its like i know its variance, its going to be over but you cant see past the mountain inf ront of you !!

Anyways, I moved up to $4-$8 October 2005 and have played that limit and some $6-$12 and $9-$18 (outside my bankroll ). Last 2 months have been pretty mediocre especially in my $4-$8 game (down about 30 bb after playing 140 hours !!!!!). Everyone and their family dog plays 4-8 now and maybe they are catching up and i have stagnated or something.

Here is my live stats so far.

Limit------------------------Won---------------Hours---------------BB/hour
($2 - $4)--------------- 874.00 -----------216.05------------- 1.01
($3 - $6)--------------- (307.00) -----------49.25--------------- -1.04
($4 - $8)--------------- 4294.00 -----------407.5--------------- 1.32
($6 - $12)---------------2102.00 -----------82.75--------------- 2.12
($8-$16)---------------- (154.00) ----------2.25--------------- -4.28
($9 - $18)--------------- 2673.00 ----------75.75--------------- 1.96
($15 - $30)------------- 507.00 ------------1.25--------------- 13.52 (not bankrolled , just a new year special )
--------------------------------------------------
Summary $10393 ----------- 834.8 hours

(the discrepancy in total $ is due to the fact that i won some more $$ in 2-4 in first 20 days but didnt keep records of hours so doesnt come into this stats chart)

THANK YOU FTR . I have learnt so much from all you guys and hope you guys always keep helping players like me in the future .

heheh. Good idea Fnord, except I have promised myself that I wont spend a single dime of my winnings until my bankroll reaches 400 BB for $15-$30 and i can move up.

I have wasted too much money from my winnings last year on -ev activities (women related to the tune of $5000 ...!!!) . Thats what happens when you are a person that has no social skills and cant pick up chicks and has to pay $$ for company .

Hopefully when i move up to $15-$30, i can start making enough money to pay for some hot chick's college fund...heheheh

HEY I JUST NOTICED YOUR ROYAL FLUSH NOW. Only guy in FTR with the royal flush ?? Thanks again for helping out guys like me, man.

Selectively quoted for emphasis.

With regard to spending too much money on gals, and having no social skills, I offer you 2 words: College Gals.

I don't mean dumbass giggling cuties. I mean semi sophisticated older collge gals who are over 21 and more mature than most.

Plus, it meshes into some of your long term goals. Maybe use few olderones in the effort to become a sugar daddy to the right TOTALLY ABOVE AVERAGE younger one.
Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.

the advice is out there for anything you do, it's the prudent few who actually listen and take action, who actually see the light.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

Congraduations. Glad to hear it! I know you've been clocking the hours, it's good to see that it's paid off. Keep rollin' 'em.
