Before this hand, I had CO marked as a calling station. He's played more hands than his fair share, but has gotten aggressive with precious few. I don't think I had a read on UTG+1 at this point. My comments are in italics.

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 9.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

I just figured I'd limp in as the SB, since no one had yet raised preflop in my time at the table.

Flop: (7 SB) 2, 7, A (7 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, UTG folds, UTG+1 raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, CO calls, Hero calls.

I flop top pair. Not too happy about my kicker, but since UTG+1 didn't raise pre-flop I figure he just paired up his ace as well. Again, no specific read on him, but I'm putting him on top pair with a weak kicker as well.

Turn: (9.50 BB) 9 (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, CO calls.

Now I'm sure I have the best hand. There's no flush on the board -- nor is one possible at this point -- and a straight for UTG+1 is very unlikely (the ace and deuce on the board are catching my notice, though). CO keeps limping along, and it seems clear that he's just digging his own grave.

River: (18.50 BB) 4 (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls, CO calls.

Now there's a very small chance that someone might have a straight, but I figure even these guys wouldn't play 53s to the river. Then again, it's microlimits and I've already seen wacky plays I never would have thought possible. But my odds seem favorable, and CO STILL hasn't raised anything, so I keep going with it and feel good when UTG+1 doesn't cap.

Final Pot: 27.50 BB

Knowing what you know about this hand, are there holes in my logic? Did I fail to see any potentially negative outcomes?

Nicely played. UTG+1 hit two pair or flopped a set. CO.. WTF?

A winner is you:

Results in white below:
UTG+1 has 2h As (two pair, aces and twos).
CO has Ah 5d (one pair, aces).
Hero has Ac 9h (two pair, aces and nines).
Outcome: Hero wins 27.50 BB.

The only thing that concerns me is that I had absolutely no inkling that UTG+1 had two pair after the flop. And it might be revisionist history to say that I knew my two pair would beat his two pair, since, as I said, it didn't cross my mind he had it...

It's hard to sniff them out on the flop. If the turn looks raggy and they keep showing aggression, it's often one or the other. Sometimes you get a CO that will turn up the aggression with just top pair and a dogshit kicker.

damnit! i was about to say utg has two pair, CO has really weak ace but you posted the results too fast.

ps. i usually fold A9o in the SB when there are that many people already willing to see the flop. usually you will be beat by passive players.

I fold this pre-flop.

I would seriously consider a check/raise on that flop, slow down if I get 3-bet and go nuts once that 9 hits.
