When do you slow down?

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, A.
UTG raises, UTG+1 calls, 4 folds, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, 1 fold, UTG caps, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls, SB calls.

Flop: (17 SB) 2, T, 7 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, SB calls, UTG 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, Hero calls, SB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (16.50 BB) 4 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls, SB calls.

River: (19.50 BB) 4 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, SB calls.

Final Pot: 22.50 BB
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

raise the turn, call a 3bet, you have no information for just calling the bet

unless UTG has TT specifically, there is no way you are behind him at any point in the hand, so keep firing away man. more likely he has JJ/QQ/KK and you are way ahead.

I put him on KK or QQ and probably cap the turn too. If he's still going at that point, I just call the river.

i really find UTG+1's flop cap and turn fold is awkward

good point, outphase... i didn't catch that. what could he have that is hurt by a 4 on the turn? pocket 3's??

UTG played this hand like a big PP. at worst you're splitting with them. raise the turn.

I agree. What scared me was the 3-way cap on the flop. I figured TT was a real possibility. I think I should have raised the turn and called a 3-bet, especially after UTG+1's "cap-fold"
