Not sure exactly how to play this, and I don't have the hand history in front of me, but looking for some advice. I was in EP with pocket 8s, and raised with two callers. An 8 comes on the flop to make my set, which I bet out, one folds, and one calls...then I hit my quads on the turn and bet that, causing opponent to fold.
Is the correct play to check the turn in hopes that he thinks I am scared he may have hit trips or should I be getting my money in regardless? I did not have a tremendous read to determine if he would have checked or bet...

usually i would check in front of him on the turn since he had position on you. He might have bet there and if he did, you can just smooth call, hoping he improves on the river. I would be out on the river if he was still in because if he didn't improve, you are probably losing a bet.

You bet because he is just as likely to be suspicious of a check as a bet.

Bet, or...
You can fold by mucking them face up and announce to the table that this is only a small leak in your game because SSH said so.
