20/40 1/2 Kill game at Hollywood Casino in Aurora

Hero is UTG+3 with :Td: :Ts:

UTG straddles, UTG+1 raises, Hero reraises, Everyone folds to Rounder-Donk SB who calls, BB folds, UTG and UTG+1 Calls.

Flop: (4 players) Pot: 17 SB

SB checks, UTG Checks, UTG+1 Bets, Hero Raises, SB, UTG, and UTG+1 all call.

Turn: (4 players) Pot: 12.5 BB

SB checks, UTG Checks, UTG+1 Checks, Hero Bets, SB, UTG, and UTG+1 all call.

River: (4 players) Pot: 16.5 BB

SB checks, UTG Checks, UTG+1 Checks, Hero ????

Meanwhile, we are all talking as well. UTG+1 says he has SB and UTG beat, but doesn't know about me, putting him on the range of a pair, anywhere from 88+, but definately not KK or AA. SB is a complete laggy donk preflop, but does play pretty well post flop. If he had anything I imagine he would have donked it out. Then there is the straddler. He is also a rounder, plays well post flop as well but again, if he had anything he probably would have bet out. Everyone has something, but does my something beat theirs? Its close, but in my mind I HAVE to bet this.

I think you should bet this too. Although I have to admit if I was playing live I'd probably be too scared and check :P

From your read, UTG+1 would bet this turn with JJ+. Like you said, he probably has a pair here, 8's or 9's. The other two could have almost anything. SB maybe chasing AK or something like JTs. UTG probably a split pair hoping to hit his kicker. A bet here will probably get at least 2 calls and you're likely to win the extra bets more often than not.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

wow that river card BLOWS... it is 3 opponents and you... i think i check, under the assumption that 2 of these players suck (cold calls), i have to guess that one had a GSD or OESD with 68 something like that... though there PF action says diffrently i think the stradler could have a hand like that...

but UTG+1 3 bet umm sounds more like AK maybe some sort of pair... i don't think he has a set i think he raises the turn with a set... unless he rivered the set but i doubt it...

as you said in your read live player on the river 99.8% of the time lead with anything... i think that it's about 55/45 leaning towrds beating and in limit thin +EV plays are the best plays.... i say bet it...

I would have waited for the turn to raise but I haven't completely convinced myself.

ya, you probably missed a bet, but i think not betting in a 4 handed pot with that river isn't atrocious by any means.
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

Result:

Hero Bets, SB Calls, UTG calls, UTG +1 calls.

Results:

Hero shows TT, Pair of tens
UTG +1 Shows 99, Pair of nines
UTG Shows QQ, Pair of Queens
SB doesnt show, but apparently had a pair of 7s and some random draw.

Winner: UTG Straddler who woke up with QQ, takes down this 20.5 BB pot.

Only afterwards I was saying out loud "I had to bet, I had to bet that" then the idiot tag to my right was saying "no you didn't." But, in all seriousness, I did. I had everyone beat that I figured I did, but frankly I was surprised to see EVERYONE call that river bet. Next time I straddle in a 20/40 game I hope I wake up with QQ and win a 20 BB pot.

Probably not more than like 1 BB. If the Straddler wakes up at any point its an easy fold instead of overcalling or just 1 more BB to call down.

Me too, I'm planning on hitting the local 10/20 game once work slows down after this month. I've heard it's pretty soft, and with the same max rake as the 3/6 and 5/10 games, the house isn't taking too much (10%, max 4 +1 for jackpot drop).

With the pot that bloated, we're pretty much guaranteded to get called by at least one person with any pair.
