I'm commited to showdown with my pair in this big pot, so spending 2 big bets on what likely isn't the best hand would really suck.

Maybe this is a Pacific specific thing, I just find that the 5/10 crew loves to wake up on the river making me a little gunshy chump betting the river in some spots.

i play it the same way. i think its best to bet the turn with so many people when you have 12 outs on the river.

I'm betting the turn every day of the week to pump that pot for my flush draw with so many people still in. I check the river here though. No sense betting out with middle pair. I have to imagine there is an A-rag out there check/calling all the way down.

Is it me or does that sound like loose play for 5-10, either way, since it seemed like loose playing by the table in general then I would have to conclude that someone is with you at the river with and overvalued Ax... but hey I might be completely wrong please correct me if I am...
