thats just gross. I dont even want to think about how many times you've tried this and lost money. Even if you do READ him for a weak hand. How strong is 8 high really? i would never ever ever consider doing this play. don't even complete the small blind with 86o.

I complete if the blind structure is 2/3 ratio, and fold it if it is 1/2. I'm looking for an excuse to dump this garbage after that ugly flop

Don't you love how in poker you can make an absolutely horrid play and still scoop the pot?

I'm not going to be insulting here, but just add this:
If you were so sure you had the best read EVER why not raise? I suspect you knew the villain was on a weak hand, and just wanted your read confirmed rather than you thought you had an actual chance of winning the pot.
Also, if you knew he was bluffing, a raise would be in order here on any street. Your hand wasn't strong enough to check call through the river, lol.

If I pinned him on a busted draw and wanted to win the pot, I surely wouldn't be *calling* with 8-high, a reraise on the river would be the only way.

From some poker book: "If you're thinking you can't call, you're right. You have to raise"
It was about this situation of a busted draw

Doesn't there have to be a draw on the board to have a busted draw?
The only draws the OP had were a gutshot str8 and a flush with the 6 of hearts....They're not really draws so much as desperate hopes. The pot odds would have to be enormous to justify playing that hand after the flop.
