I'm in a downswing with LHE, having lost about 100 BB at 3/6 short in the last week or so. I'm looking to recoup by stepping down. The problem is, most 2/4 games are pretty bad as far as I can see. What, in your experience, is the best site to play 2/4?

My biggest concerns in order:
1. Loose games at all hours of the day
2. Number of tables
3. Interface/User friendliness

It should also be noted that I'll primarily be playing shorthanded, so Party is out of the question.

Party and its skins were good when they were all one big network. I made quite a bit 2/4 LHE full there, i can't comment on 6max though

Again, Party is out of the question as I'll be primarily playing 6-max, and Party doesn't offer any 2/4 shorthanded tables.

Definitely not Eurobet/Poker Room. Unless you want to play table after table of TAGG's.

Meh. The only well-populated 2/4 SH game I know of is at stars, and I hated it. I suggest sucking it up and playing 3/6. 100 bets aint that much. I can't see dropping to 2/4 SH fulfilling what you want it to. Its not really an easier game, just cheaper.

I really recommend everyone play full ring until 3/6, then switch to 6max. Fanatic is playing 1/2 6max -- I couldn't. 6max in itself is a highly variant game, now play it with a bunch of 1/2 donkeys, and your variance is through the roof. No thanks.

Erm, back on topic, stay at 3/6, yeah.

I currently play 2/4 6-max as my primary game. I usually play on Crypto. I rarely have difficulty finding good tables (although occasionally I have to wait a few minutes for some good ones to open up); it's not like party where you can find dozens of tables--there are often only a dozen tables of the limit open, but it's still full of bad players. And even in the cases where you can't find a good 2/4 table, there are £1/£2 tables that are only slightly smaller stakes than 2/4, and these have a good selection too (note that playing in multiple currencies can confuse pokertracker though).

The juciest 2/4$ (and any limit for that matter) I have ever seen is on Pacific Poker. But as your concern is about number of tables (multitabling?) I guess Pacific fall of short... Another really really good site for shorthanded limit games are Ladbrokes. Actually they run pretty short of full-table limit games and focus on primarly on shorthanded. I played in Ladbrokes at august-november (2/4$ and 3/6$) and made a whopping profit. However another concern is that I heard some rumors about american players (out of some reason im not aware of) not being allowed at Ladbrokes. So if you are american that can be a problem... LOL I guess this wasn't of much help

2/4 6max I’d go Stars... Pacific may have horrid players but you can only 1 table and there software plus their customer relations sucks my nuts...

Basically my only two sites are Dise and Stars. Except for ugly tilting on my part, I have never had a problem making money at any 5-max table on Dise (up to 5/10).

In general, I consider most players at Dise to be very very passive - very little preflop raising, lots and lots of calling, and an almost obscene unwillingness to fold any bet once an opp has committed to putting one bet in on the turn.

So the game there for me really just becomes one of making sure I don't delve into the chase a hand with any two preflop mentality; and make sure you don't miss any bets by failing to bet the turn or river.

I only play Party so I am a bad indicator for other games, but if you can take being underrolled for a little while after the swing (unless the swing was on Party), the 3/6 6 max on party is very beatable.

You need to get used to it, hence why a 500BB roll is needed to play LHE short-handed games. last weekend I dropped 150BB in 2 sessions. Last month I dropped 100BB in less than 1000 hands one day. It doesnt matter how beatable the games are, you will get varienced sooner or later. Sometimes thats a good thing, sometimes its a bad thing.
