Now that the new patch is out for PT and we can see how much jackpot we are paying, I'd like to find out some numbers for the various stakes. So far at 3/6, I've played 10,703 hands at the Monster tables and payed 193 in Jackpot rake. This is about .30 BB/100 hands payed in extra rake. Anybody got sample sizes that show how bad it is at 2/4 or if it is much better at 5/10?

I used to play lots of the BBJ tables -- but now I'm realizing that its kinda pointless. The players are no different than at the non-BBJ tables, so why pay the extra rake?
<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

Because you don't have a choice now at Party....Anyway, according to PT, the BBJ tables at Party aren't any worse than the regular tables at PR or a few of the other sites. Just worse than Party used to be and worse than Stars(the players at Stars are a lot better at 3/6 though). I'm mostly just thinking that now might be a decent time for me to try moving up to 5/10 again though since the Jackpot hit might not be quite as bad in terms of BB/100(I'm not sure if the fact that it would amount to a smaller % of each pot makes up for the fact that I'd be paying it in more pots due to more pots hitting the rake level).

5/10 is just as easy as 3/6, just a lot lot more aggro

I switched to Stars because of the Monster BS so I couldn't tell you. Stars has some good tables if you look for them. I may be back though (I should be talking to you soon Midas).
