Very first hand at the table, no reads.
Is my river cap spewy or money in the bank given there was no aggression on earlier streets. Preflop was meh, but I figured one extra cold caller in there gave me 5.5:1 on the call... which isn't that good, but yeah, ignore my tilty preflop.

I'd raise here.
His turn play makes no sense if he has Kxhearts or a bigger flush than you, as he can't trap the CO cause the CO already folded.
There is no boat so I'd take it he caught the straight at best.
If he caught a bigger flush than you on the turn and just calls with the A boarding, he's nuts. He's already in the big streets and could potentially get a few bets out of you if you have Ax....
Me thinks you won or he's silly.

Well, compared to the bad preflop call and equally bad missed flop bet, the river raise isn't that bad IMO.

Jeff, why is a flop check so bad? With nothing but a small flush draw, equity can't be more than 1/3. Is it that important to semi-bluff here?

I think the villain had two pair or a straight here, and you're safe.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Because you also have folding equity. Its not uncommon to win this unimproved. Also, he may raise for a free card and hence give you one too.
