First question, was the preflop raise ok from this position with so many callers before me?
Second question, was the river call worth it, or should I have known he had the 9?
Thanks for your responses.
Btw, new to the site. It's a great help.

littleogre has a little shameless behaviour in the past
honestly it looks like a fairly easy fold to me.

Then again my opinion could be tainted by the fact that you gave the results of the hand.

I play it exactly the same. You will beat a lower Ax often enough to call.

It may be bad, but me bad too then----cause I'm calling down most opponents here, absent reads...

Some players go a flush draw this way, trying to give themselves two ways to win..(hit the river or cause a fold).
Gone golfing ..see ya in the Fall of 2006
PS. What did the snail on the turtle's back say?
Wheeeeeeeee........

Isn't it the other way around... You only need to win 1 in 12 right?

The question isn't bad river call, but bad turn call. You call the turn bet assuming you are going to call a bet on the river. You must call the river bet. Calling the turn bet depends on your opponent. Knowing nothing about your opponent, there is no reason not to call. You will beat 'slow-played' aces with worse kickers often enough here.
