I'm in the middle of my first 100 bb downswing since I've been tracking my play. In addition to the rivered 2-outers, 4-outers, and other bad beat section stuff, there are hands here I need help going over to reduce my tilt-induced spew.

1) UTG is a 27/9/2.5 regular. The only notes I had of relevance here were he'll raise any 2 pair or better on any street and is capable of raising combo draws.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (7 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K, A.
UTG calls, Hero raises, 5 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: (5.50 SB) J, A, 6 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG calls.

Turn: (3.75 BB) 4 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.75 BB) K (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero raises, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 11.75 BB

2)MP3 was running 52/5/2. I had no notes. UTG+2 was running 92/0/0.3. I had no additional notes other than the obvious. I figured since the 6 completed not not only the flush draw but several straight draws, it was too dangerous to bet, but easily worth a call.

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9, 9.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, MP3 calls, 4 folds, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 3, 5, 9 (3 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, MP3 raises, UTG+2 calls, Hero 3-bets, MP3 calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (8.75 BB) Q (3 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (11.75 BB) 6 (3 players)
UTG+2 checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets, UTG+2 folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

3) SB was a 14/8/2 regular with a full arsenal of moves at his disposal. He could have done this with any number of hands and had made bluffs on scary river cards. I still think the raise was total tilt-induced spew on my part. What hand does he do this with that I'm ahead of and then calls my raise?

Preflop: Hero is BB with T, J.
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 6 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 4, K, Q (4 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds.

Turn: (3 BB) A (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls.

River: (7 BB) 8 (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14 BB

This is why they call it P-O-K-E-R!

LHE has very high variance, so get used to the swings. 100 bb's is no big deal, especially online.

These types of swings is what separates the long-term greats from the rest. This is why I'm such a huge proponent of mental game training!

dont worry about it so much. i know its hard, especially if you are a consistent winner in NL games. but, LHE can be brutal, especially at lower stakes. just have faith that better cards and better play win out in the long run.

but, its a reeeeeeaaaaallllly long run.

and, at first glance, i dont see anything wrong with how you played those hands.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
