I have heard a lot of conflicting word that low level online, like what I play .25-.50 and .50/1 are like 2/4 B&M.

From what I hear of B&M, this cannot be true of UB, where I play.

-If I raise pre-flop in EP to MP and am the first in the pot, I will on standard get only about 2-3, maybe 4 callers. I would say approx. 15% of the time, you buy the blinds.

-If you raise pre-flop and get re-raised, you can instantly put that person on high pockets or MAYBE A-k.

-I will occassionally get confused by what people have, because I have seen people not re-raise with 2 pr or better on a non-scary board. Not on the flop, turn, or river. I will keep betting, they will keep calling, and I'm like, "Huh?"

-Raises usually mean a player has you beat. If you get a raise, you can usually and safely back off.

-You can get people (granted, not all the time) to fold to you if you raise pre-flop, then bet on the flop, turn, and river.

From what I hear of the B&Ms, pre-flop raises will not thin the pot, continuation bets will not cause people to fold, and people will re-raise all the time with crap. The players on UB aren't complete nimrods, in fact there's several decent players, but if I had to classify them I would say they're a good mix of tight passives with loose passives overall.

The reason I ask is because I am about to shortly go to a B&M and am getting the feeling that UB has not been the best prep for it.....

if 7+ people to a flop is common, play K-x suited, unsuited connectors. I personally wouldn't even raise with AKs, its such a huge monster in these games, unless you know they will call of course. All pocket pairs, high suited cards, etc

KoRnholio will become famous soon enough
And if they are lots of loose callers, slam them with bets when on a nut draw.
