Read? What's your plan on a blank river?
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

no reads, was planning on call down if blank, maybe fold on something bad like Kd, 8d, 7d

    Pre-flop is fine.

    Flop is fine.

Check-fold turn unless you have a specific read that villain will spew chips into you with a hand that you can beat.

on a blank, i c/c, but expect to lose. i just dont want villain to think he can bluff me off blind wars. he needs to hit a pair to win.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

You take that line more than once and you can have a whole night to look forward to of everyone floating you on the flop.

benny, this is an adjustment i have made in my game. i used to believe that i had to show down ace high enough to discourage players from betting me out of hands. however, it was costing me plenty of money, the pots i did win were small, and i didn't notice any great difference in the success of my unimproved hands.

so i switched to a read based approach, where i will show it down against bluffers when it isnLt that likely that they connected, while giving it up before it cost too much against many other players.

i will still show it down a lot more at higher limits. but i think a lot of players spend way too much money on BB's on the turn and river on hands that are pretty clearly behind.

the other thing is, even if you gain the image of giving up on hands, that can pay off when you have a made hand and you can get people to bluff into you.
