Villain limped aqo last hand and burned me with my AJo raise and postflop aggression.

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, Q.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (8.40 SB) A, 3, 9 (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, Hero raises, BB folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls.

Turn: (6.20 BB) 5 (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets,

At this point he waited and asked what my kicker was. I ignored him...

MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 folds.

Final Pot: 10.20 BB

My questions:

1. Flop raise bad? With the rainbow raggy flop I could have cold called, but OTOH I wanted a sense of the better's strength (I suspected a weak ace, but I wouldn't put AK past him, given his limpiness). I also wanted to get it down to Heads up or three way, since TPTK can lose often enough in a multiway pot. Raggy though...

2. Should I have called his turn raise and hoped for him to donk river? Again, the risk of him spiking his kicker or a runner flush with made me 3bet.

Well played. If he's limping AQ he's also limping A2, A3, etc. You're likely to have the best hand so raise it up!

Spewtastic 3bet imo, even with the chat.

Getting c/r'ed on the turn/river in limit, yuck. Call turn/river as you cant fold b/c of the size of the pot but I wouldn't 3bet the turn with just a one pair hand at these stakes without a read.

I would just call the turn as he's repping a lot of strength.

Slow down and show down.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

I hear you guys but the talk is actually what sways me here. If he's got AK, 99 etc. he's not asking about your kicker, he's just gonna quietly raies and hope you call. I think he's full of it and that's a taunt to say he's got your Ax beat. I'll bet you he has KK or worse here.

Easy to say after we see the river fold i know....(another argument for stopping the post at the decision point, as i've said before)...if he hadn't spouted off i would follow the call down line as well.

I agree that he's often weak here, but he's sometimes absurdly strong. Either way, I want him putting in a bet on the river.

My thinking was that he had a weak ace. IMO 90% chance I was ahead on turn. My fear was that the river would be a brick, but spike his kicker or something heinous like that.

The guy is a very weak player. As I said in op he limped aqo, and hadn't done anything else of note.

His chat, and his waiting 15 seconds before he raised, convinced me to 3bet. If he called and checked river I'd have probably checked behind, if he'd bet I'd probably have called.

I was preflop aggressor, and the hands I'd been playing on that table were nothing but strong (though getting cracked mostly), so he knew I had something worth betting.

Certainly in his range, but I think a ton of other hands are too. H'es going way out of his way to tell you a story here since most online play goes without comment. I might even go so far to think he probably doesn't have what he's going out of the way to sell you. In a live game, I think you'll see a weak Ace more often because yacking about your hand is more common.

In any case, a cap will make us vommit and we'd like him to bet the river if he's got crap. If he 3-outs us, oh well.
