hand 1

flop

- BB has ace something, but not AK, maybe AJ/AT, or even a passive AQ?
- UTG has a king, but not AK or KQ

your play is fine - nothing to be gained from capping it (informationally)

turn

- BB hits his ace, thus the check raise and cap
- UTG checks as well, so i'd say definitely not AK

3 bet it as you did

river

- useless card - couldn't of helped BB, so if you believe you have the best hand, cap it for value.

am i close? don't tell me BB hit a set with 88 or slowplayed a monster set.

***edited***

hand 2

looks good - i like the river check. we discussed this earlier.

hand 3

i don't get the BB's turn check raise, and then check/call on the flop. i'd bet the river as you did, and take a chance that he doesn't have the 4 (which he doesn't appear to have).
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...

OK, here they are again, with results.

Hand 1

You ever get the feeling in the middle of the hand that you are behind, or that your opponent has sprung a trap? I never had that feeling in this hand, I was positive this was a winner. Shocked to see my opp with AK at the showdown.

Exactly the read I had, Fishstick. I was thinking AJ or something the whole way. Glad I'm not the only one getting a bad read here.

Hand 1 - that is one sweet slow play. You 2 bet for him, then he has best hand and totally throws you Turn/River. Interesting question as to whether it was intentional or not. I would flag that guy for future reference, tho.

Hand 2 - I see a few hands like this with OK players. Often I get a split or something. You both had the same hand (over pocket pair), until the river, when the A came out. I see stuff like this when me and opp both have AK/AQ with A/K/Q out there and split.

Zenbitz -

Hand 1 - the thing that really threw me...he did a stop and go. He raised the flop. Then he flat called the turn when he improved to top 2 pair. I don't know what he was thinking, unless he wanted to try and keep a few callers in the hand or something. He might have also assumed I would do all the betting for him, so he could disguise his strength. Looks like a sharky play the more I look at it. Very sneaky.

entirely backwards... the BB smoothcalled the flop with TPTK and check-raised the turn. excellent play. i would do this even without two pair on the turn.

re hand 2, JJ vs 99, that reminds me of friday night when my JJ got crushed on a ragged board by 99 who hit a set. to make matters worse, the idiot re-raised me pre-flop with that marginal holding. lucky bastard.

Hand 1:
Talked about this in IRC...

Hand 2:
Bet the river

Hand 3:
I'm less inclined to 3-bet the turn in position. Let him lead the river and see where you stand. A better hand is less likely to re-raise you there too.
