I had a really weird session last night. I was getting really good cards but the guy to my left always seems to edge me out. I had KQ twice in a row, only to lose to his AQ (he'd never raise my bets so I could never tell), my KK would lose to his AA, my AA would lose to his KK. I even flopped a boat only to have him hit quads on the river, TWICE!!!! I've never seen anyone with horse shoes stuck so far up their @ss.

That guy must have been multi-tabling cause the guy to my left was doing the same thing to me last night.

I've had this happen at a B&M once. The guy was to my immediate left and was the only other player with a clue at the table. He had bigger pairs or had me dominated almost every hand. AA vs. AKs, QQ vs. JJ, AK vs AQ etc. Somehow I still managed to be up about 15 BB at a 5/10 table after 6 hours.

Hi Strung
Selective memory is part of this. I play in a men's match play golf league in a small town and last year I lost to this one guy. After the game he said..." I have played you over a dozen times and never beat you until tonight..."
I have to say it never occurred to me that he had never beat me, even with the strokes he was getting. I just never thought about it. The reason was it was more importnat to him than me. But you know what? ... if I lost to the same guy 12 times in a row, I'd remember too.
So, I bet you have been on the other end of this Strung, I bet if you reviewed some session hand hsistories you might see that you "owned" a guy for an extended period. The fact may have got lost in the shuffle of a good stretch were you were taking lots of players down, but you didn't consciously know that you had perhaps won 7 of 9 showdowns (for example) against him in particular. If he played Ok and had good hands, you wouldn't be pegging him as a fish, so it might not jump right out at you that you were killing him. But, I bet HE knew.....lol
