I had a frustrating night in Vegas the other day, playing a $3/6 game that was extremely loose. I am not one who enjoys huge bankroll swings, so I play fairly tight. Of 10 people at this table, 4 were consistently raising in the dark and making a habit of raising any bet regardless of what they had -- even calling re-raises with 3-flushes on the flop. My take is that these guys were there to gamble, and didn't mind the huge bankroll swings they were experiencing.
The other players at the table (2 rocks, 2 ultra tights, and 2 fish) had a tough time even participating in the game.
My strategy was to play ultra tight and beat these fools over the head with good starting hands. Problem was that good hands were hard to come by and when I did get AK, KK, or QQ, I almost always got outdrawn by a straight, flush, or full house. Is there any way to combat these players without sinking to their level and chasing all your hands?
I finally left the table because I couldn't find a way to beat them.

There is a way to beat them. But you have to "kinda" sink to near there level.
They are playing loose, but wrong. To beat them, you can take 2 approaches. Either play loose but right. Or play tight and right.
Keep a steady eye on the flop and realize that they can hold anything.
Be more inclined to call and only be willing to raise with the nuts or near nuts.
Pocket pairs lose value unless they are triped.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Sounds like a great game. However, the variance would be a killer.
You should loosen up too! Read the loose games starting hands in Small Stakes Hold'em.

in a game like this, hands like 89 suited take on a whole new dimension.
ditto fnord and humpty (about loosening up).
