I edited out my handle (it's an open secret, but I do try to keep it a little tricky to find out) and put in his pair of 7s (for some reason the hand converter missed it.)

BTW, his play with the 7s sucks. Easy 3-bet if he thinks I'm LAgging it up.

i tried to play the 3/6 once, a little too aggressive for my taste.

every time i bet, a reraise will come immediately, and so on.. these people dont like to lay their hands down.

You'd just LOVE the 15/30 game then. It's all that on SPEED! ATo being 3-bet is par for the course.

It's actually a lot easier dealing with super-aggro when the blind strucutre is 1/3 vs 2/3 since you don't have to play as many hands.

I bet because he might fold as it's unlikely that board hit him and my represented Ax or pair is probably good. Fail that, I can turn my flush and raise his stop'n'go punk ass.

recently i've had some players comment on my play at the tables. i had Q9, and hit a 9 on the flop. someone early bets, and i raise to protect my hand. 2 people end up calling me down, and someone flips over K9.

they were sayin how i can't find any button other than raise....

guess they don't know how to protect hands. probably a couple months i mighta considered coaching them, but obviously that's a bad idea. so i just went silent....couldn't think of a witty fish remark.

i'll keep "me give good sucky sucky" in mind next time.

I also like "Thank you, drive through" and "Want fries with that?". It creates the right kind of goofball image that I'm after.

Here's another Fnord classic, "Sorry, I don't fold heads-up." (sure to generate a lecture from the table coach.)

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

hyper, i like your flop raise, but i often found that if i was called by other player after me, or get a 3bets back. I found I would lose for sure.
Therefore, i am now thinking of mucking my hands even I have top pair but a weak/middle kicker .

What do you think ?

And If a get top pair and top kicker and a reraise is from a people after me in flop . What do you think then ?

Fnord, I like your play in no 2.
But for no 1, is it better to call in turn and rasie in flop ?
He has set, if I my flush can be disguised, definately I can earn more !

If he has trips, he has outs I want to charge him to draw to against my flush. Also, I'll (semi-)bluff this once and a while so I like playing it straight up without a reason not to. Finally, a hand like 6x or 99 might check/call the river. I really hate passing up a chance to put in the extra bet with the best hand unless I have a really compelling reason not to.

I find myself always semi-bluffing my nut flush draws if it's checked to me. Do you think it's a leak? Do you have any specific advice as to when I should and shoudn't do this? I play mostly $25 NL.

NL is different because they can put in a big enough check/raise to force you to laydown.

i assume you mean call the turn and raise the river. this would mean one less bet on the turn and one more bet on the river. same result, more risk.

I guess my question was dumb. What I meant was, is it a bad habit to default to throwing a bet out when I'm on a draw?

Betting without really knowing why you're betting isn't a good idea, especially in NL.

bet your draws if you think your opponent might lay his hand down (IE: has he shown weakness in previous hands, does it match the weakness he is projecting on the current hand).

i'll generally default to a bet when its checked to me on the flop if the table is the type where they dont play many hands (only play premium hands) and wont play back at you with wiffed overcards.

keep playing and playing, after awhile you just hit a point in the night at the table when you know you can get away with something or not.

usually i dont get a full feel for a table until i played for a few orbits (5 to 10)

What's a kicker? *cackle*

Last night, I found that Thomas the Tank Engine, GI Joe and Transformers were effective topics of conversation to get the table to flip the bozo bit on me. Typing "YO JOE!" after pulling in a big pot has a certain level of satisfaction to it. "Because knowing is half the battle" is a great re-tort to the table coach too.
