So my target this month is to improve my appalling BB stat of -0.3 per hand. Any improvement will be considered a victory.
What I'm going to do is post a smattering of BB hands and see if anyone can guide me right.
Short session, no reads.
Day 1:
Hand 1:
I have T 7
It's folded to the SB who completes.
I check and then we proceed to check down to the river with the following board:
K Q 6 3 8
Too passive?
Hand 2:
I have: 5 2
CO calls, SB completes, I check.
We check to the river:
J 5 K J 3
SB Checks, I check, CO bets, we both fold.
Hand 3:
I have 3 3
Preflop: 1 fold, UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 calls, 3 fold, CO calls, 2 fold, Hero calls.
Flop: (8.5sb 4 players) A 2 3
Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 calls, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls and is all-in, UTG+2 calls, CO calls.
Turn: (10BB 4 players, 1 all-in) K
Hero bets, UTG+2 raises, CO Calls, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 Calls, CO calls.
River: (19BB, 4 players, 1 all-in) K
Hero bets, UTG+2 raises and is all-in, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, CO calls.
Final pot: (25.5 BB).
Current BB stat: -1.58BB/hand (okay, only 5 hands, but crappy start).[/b]

All are alright, but on the first one headsup v the small blind, if he checks it to me I almost always fire a bet out on the flop, doesnt much matter what the board is. You'll take down way more than your fair share.

Damn, where are you playing 1/2, this is full ring right?
Anyways, I probably take a shot at the board on hand 1.
I think these heads up plays out of the blinds are all about board texture, if it's a weak non connecting board then I go ahead and fire a bet out. If you are called then you can be very certain you are beat and shut down. Conversely, on a board such as hand 2, I play much more passively.

I like all those hands except 6 where I instaraise preflop.
Not too sure what they have to do with your bb play though?

Trying to give some useful input:
Hand 1-3: ok
Hand 4: Fold the flop, if not fold the turn after the SB bet. It is unlikely you're ahead, and it's unsure if A and T will help you.
Hand 5: ok
Hand 6: I'll raise the river if villian is not too tricky. Tough if it gets 3bet back tho.
Hand 7: ok

Thanks for the input guys.
BTW the CO hand is counted as a BB in PT because I posted.
I'm trying to post a range of hands, and it's good to know that it's raising many red-flags here... especially as I lost nearly all those hands.

Hand 4: I fold the flop.
Hand 5: I call the raise.
Hand 6: I raise preflop.
Others look ok to me.

Hand 1: I just call preflop heads up vs SB and wait for the turn to raise no matter what board comes.
Hand 4: This is a very easy turn bet.
You should create a new thread for each group of hands as it will be too difficult to get a good discussion going for any of the hands this way.
