To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Even though this isn't good news, it's (semi) encouraging to see that these things happen. I can go up or down 50BB per 500 hand session and when I get a few in a row it can be very disappointing.
Stats I've been paying attention to are my VP$IP on a hand I'm constantly losing money on (KJo, KQo, AJo, etc) as well as my Won $ at Showdown.
When I'm running bad it seems to be I'm playing certain hands incorrectly for that table (limping suited connectors & pocket pairs where I shouldn't) and I notice my showdown success plummits (40%=bad, 60%=good). Are these some of the things I should take note of?
For someone new to limit, I would love to learn how you decifer what constitues a slump and what is the combined effect of pissing off chips due to leaks/poor play.
Good luck getting out to the downswing.
PS- I've been reading in the community forum about people complaining when noobs ask the same old tired questions. I'd like to add my two cents and say this forum would really benefit for a sticky teaching new players how to analyze their stats/HH in Poker Tracker at a given level/game (micro/low/mid as well as Full Ring and 6max). How to spot leaks using PT or realizing you play a solid game, you're just in a downswing.

small sample size. I play more hands than that in a day...
You've got a leak somewhere, however, calling down too much when beat can save you a lot of bets, and you might want to rethink your table selection criterion.

Its really, really tough. Personally, I think they are innertwined far too often to be decipherable between "running bad" and "fucking something up that you aren't aware of". Blind play seems to be very common. It was my problem.

Sadly, I did really well in the blinds. ( I am actually + from the SB over the last 6K hands)
This was over the course of the weekend, after a nice upswing during the week.
Note my AA and KK are winning 50% and <1BB/hand
(If it weren't for a $200AA pot, I would be way negative for the hand)
My normal stats for WSD and W$SD are around 35/55 and my normal VP$IP and PFR for 6 max are about 27/13 So this was a weird combination of getting playable cards and making 2nd best hands.

Knowing you had the downswing on the weekend makes sense given the small sample size. Certain times on the weekend can have huge variance because of the loose, crazy play. They can be extremely profitable when you hit draws and don't get high pairs cracked, but when the opposite happens a sharp temporary downswing is common.
