Hi guys,

I have always had trouble playing AQ0 and AQs. Even during 0.5-1$ limit I was barely +ve in these two hands over a sample of 23000 hands. So its definitely not the cards, its not the variance, its my sucky play when it comes to these two hands because i am sure most of you guys show a +ve in these two hands.

so far, in 1-2 over 23 hands I have been dealt total (AQ 0 + s) I am down 38 bb.

VERY SMALL SAMPLE, but I am sure my faulty play is to blame. example hands 3. I cant call with Ace high right, but where do i lay it down, the flop or the turn ?? once I am in the river, i usually call unless it would be an overcall in which case i dont.

--------------------
Hand 1:

wanted to wait till the turn to raise him but he caught up on the river. I know he will call my raise but wanted to make him pay more. since its heads up wasnt worried about any other card on a draw free board

hand 1: raise the flop. bet/call down the turn. bet/call the river if checked to (maybe fold against passive)
hand 2: same as hand 1. raise the flop.
hand 3: fold the turn.
hand 4: bet out the turn.
hand 5: yep
hand 6: i cold call. AQo is not strong enough to 3bet into that big a field...unless it is a very tight table and you are sure your 3bet will drive out a lot of the earlier players. given your preflop 3bet, i play it the same.
hand 7: yep

1- I don't hate waiting for the turn to raise. I raise this flop about 100% of the time.

2- Here you HAVE to raise the flop. There are a few draws, and multiple opponents.

3- I play this the same at 5/10. At 1/2 I call the flop and fold the turn.

4- I don't mind the flop 3 bet. You have a backddor nut flush draw also. Lead the turn. You are trying too hard to be tricky, which is a big leak of alot of 1/2 players. DON'T EVEN OFFER FREE CARDS AT THIS LEVEL!!!!

5- I usually fold this flop out of position with a hand that may be dead. a call here is required though, since you are getting 17 to 1. after the turn you played it well.

6- good.

7- Which 2 pair did the river null? You have a poor concept of counterfeit outs. There is no hand that you beat on the river that you didn't beat on the flop. That being said, you still played it right.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Hand 1: I think waiting til the turn is acceptable; though for me it depends on the button. If he/she always peels off a turn I raise the flop. If not I alternate between raising the flop and turn (maybe around a 70/30 split). The way you played it I just call the river donk bet.
Hand 2: I raise the flop. Hyper and Demi, if there were more players in, or there was a flush draw as well, do you wait to pop a free turn card?
Hand 3: Fold the turn; villain has at least an 8, if not trips or even a straight. I have mixed feelings on the flop raise.
Hand 4: I leadthe turn and play it from there.
Hand 5: I fold the turn. Why does everyone like calling down here? Isn't Mp2's line the classic slowplay trips line?
Hand 6: I play the same. You kinda get screwed over here cuz on the turn you do have a re-draw, and the pot is too big to fold on the river.
Hand 7: I usually lose an extra SB by capping the flop. Is this a leak?
