Oh, for this hand the BB hasn't been overly active that I noticed. And I had just raised about 3 out of the last 6 hands (although rightfully so)

Full Tilt 1/2 SHLHE (6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, J.
3 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) A, K, 2 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) K (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.75 BB) 5 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB....

I felt like either he was 3-betting a very strong hand PP or AK (maybe AQ or AJ) preflop... or ... he has noticed me raising a lot and was trying to protect his blinds with worse hand.

So, I felt kind of like I should take the WA/WB line and let the BB do my betting for me. Either he has me beat with AK, AA, KK... or ... he is probably going to give up the pot to resistance if he has something like JJ/TT or if he was just trying to protect his blinds. Yes, there is a chance he might have donated some more money with a hand like AQ or AJ. But I felt like those holdings were a small enough percentage compared to the erst giving us more value from letting a worse hand continue to bet into us while avoiding getting re-raised by a better hand.

Thoughts?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

All of your lines are winning lines, but I think they end at 8.75 BB at the highest. IE.

Turn you check he bets, you raise, he calls, river you bet, he folds.

Or river, you bet, he raises, you call.

Honestly, I think KKKAJ is the best hand here. So I'd be willing to be aggressive and lose an extra bet if I was wrong.

I'm not certain what WA/WB means. could you clarify?
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Check-raise the turn or donk the river to get value out of a pp like TT/JJ that will often check behind on the river. More often than not you are WA (way ahead) rather than way behind here. Most of the time he will have a hand like AT-AQ here and pay off more bets.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

yeah, I agree... I felt checking the river could have resulted in a missed bet if I was ahead and was probably a mistake. But other than that I felt like the flop and turn play was ok. I could have c/r the turn and bet the river, which probably would have been folded for the same result as c/c the turn and betting the river (which probably would have been called).

But I think you are right, we will get enough calls from AQ, AJ, QQ, JJ, TT to make it worth the river lead and possibility of being raised by a better hand.

Is it possible to get away from this hand to a raise. I think the odds are there to call, but at the same time, would a worse hand raise the river often enough? I'm thinking it is at least close enough to make this a bad situation to try and make a big river laydown.

Ragnar4,
WA/WB stands for "way ahead" -or- "way behind". (you probably won't catch-up if behind, and either will he if you are ahead). It is often best to call down against the better because a raise will either scare him away or result in a 3-bet.
