No reads on villain at all (probably just another Party Poker fish, but then again, you never know). What I am trying to figure out is if I am playing this too passive or if its the correct play versus an unknown opponent.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A , A .
1 fold, Hero raises, 4 folds, CO calls, 3 folds.
Flop: (5.50 SB) 5 , 6 , 2 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.
Turn: (6.75 BB) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.
River: (10.75 BB) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.
Final Pot: 12.75 BB
The converter is your friend.
Anyway, this looks a lot like a set or a timid overpair. I think you're good here. Good slowdown though.

You certainly did not play this hand too timid, playing any more aggressively would just be spewing.
After the flop cap there's a strong possibility CO has 56 or a set. I would call down from there as I don't think he has A6 or an overpair often enough to give value to your turn bet. This is especially true when you consider that CO will raise the turn with any hands that beat you costing you 3 bets to reach showdown but when you have him beat you will win only 2 as he will seldom raise.
You played the hand ok though.

I've been playing 2/4 full pretty regularly so far this year. I stopped posting because I was busy and then I got out of the habit of it. Never left though I've just been lurking, hopefully I'll be able to post more frequently.
Peace.
