I've been talking to a lot of the LHE guys recently on IRC and we have a fun solution to Fnord and KP22:

How about we have a full LHE Tournament with the most prominent LHE players here at FTR.

I have so far found 7 members that I would like to see involved in this Tourny:

Fnord
KP22
Lonnie
elipsesjeff (obviously)
Mike4066
Toasty
Nehmer

We need 3 more unless some people decide not to play. We also need a place where the tournies don't have f'ed up rake structures for the cheap $5 tourny (the price of the tourny wont matter cuz we are all there). Or we could just play the $10 game. Also a time convenient for everyone would work out great too.

Post away.

I'm in. 10+1 at Stars is good for me and would probably be the easiest to set up, but I can play pretty much anywhere. Might be a good time to have an FTR ring game afterward too.

it would probably need to be at Stars. If they have the option for a limit tournament.

But tournaments are already taking something out of peoples games. Tournaments are not the same as ring games. There is no re-buy and that affect play and strats.

But if this happened, I'd be interested in joining. Cause I'm better than all of you put together, I just need my big break to prove it.

I want ttanakas job! Are you guys hiring for, "owner"?
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Poker Stars is fine, A ring game would be just as fun afterwords. Even better, we could play the .02/.04 game there

Hyper,

I didnt want to include you because you are too good for all of us other LHE players. If you join then we'll definately all lose.

Seriously, you weren't on the IRC thread at the time we were talkin' about it, But if you join and Humphrid joins then thats 9. One more not including the other 5 confirming.

Tourney plays very different. At the late stages there isn't much difference between NL and Limit. Also, chip conservation changes up some plays.

Once I get back from Vacation I'm up for a private table just about any time. Perhaps there would be interest in higher stakes? 2/4? 5/10?

That still doesnt mean it wouldnt be fun. Imagine a full 10 players still in the game when the blinds get massive. The higher limit we play in is only going to mean more money to lose. Lower limits would be just as fun and be just as determinate i would think and it wouldn't take up all our bankroll to you poker sharks.

And if Les is in then we have a full field for a limit Tourny, just need the others to commit.

Private table seems much better than a limit tourney. I'd play if I have time. 1/2 - maybe even 2/4 (although I'd have to quit if my I get creamed early)

I'd definitely be interested in a private ring game for limit. Personally, I can't stand playing limit tourneys. Bores me to tears.

Also, I'd be interested in 2/4 or 3/6 if anyone else wanted to go that route. But I think the lower limit would be fun as well.

i think most of us play at 0.5/1 and 1/2, and fewer higher limits.

it's probably best to play 0.5/1 or 1/2 so we can let the lower limit players play.

otherwise we should go to the 0.01/0.02 tables and we can all play raise or fold holdem :P

I'd definately be interested in either a tournament or ring game. It would be best for me to play on Party Poker since I don't have a Poker Stars account, but I guess I could create one if need be. I could play in a tournament up to $20+2 buy in or ring game up to 2/4.

Would definitely prefer PokerStars.
