FTR Hand History Converter Output (intended for copying and pasting into poker forums!):
PokerStars Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, K
1 fold, Hero raises, MP1 3-bets, 6 folds, Hero caps, MP1 calls

Flop: (9.5 SB) K, K, 10 (2 players)
Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 caps, Hero calls

Turn: (8.75 BB) A (2 players)
Hero bets, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 calls

River: (14.25 BB) K (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $0.57 (14.25 BB) | Rake: $0.02

Results:
Hero had A, K (four of a kind, Kings).
MP1 mucked J, 10 (full house, Kings over tens).
Outcome: Hero won $0.55

Just wanted to post this play because as much as I am nervous about capping AK this hand proves in the long run, its just the right thing to do. One of my best hands yet!

perfect.

oh, and never let yourself go below 12 BBs for the table, as villain did. if you hit your quads like this, and only have 8 BBs in your stack and receive unlimited action, YOU should be called the fish.

so, since you played it perfectly, and he was stupid enough to be on too short a stack, let's all rejoice and call this idiot what he is.

repeat after me..... FISH!

haha. now that ought to make you feel even better.

I agree 100% about the 12BB minimum at the table. But there are some rare times, like here perhaps, that the villain sees the short stack raising, and no longer fears going all the way to your felt with his 2 pair hand. With a full stack maybe he would fold his mediocre hand. Poker is funny like that :P
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

but again, that would make HIM the fish for altering his play based on trivial information.

now, if i see someone that has 3BBs in their stack (and often times i do...lol), i give them ZERO respect. i am playing the same preflop, but if i hit anything on the flop, i am trying to get him AI asap if we are HU. they will put it all in very light in that situation. if he has 8-10 BBs, i think they still play standard because it takes a lot of work to get that in the middle, and he has to want it to go in, too.

that said, i have only been in 3 hands that i can remember that went 11+ BBs each. and, i have lost two of them. boat v quads and Ahi flush to str8flush. the one i won was quads over a complete idiot...not even a boat...lol.

LOL

Even short stacks get dealt winning hands sometimes...

If I had JT here I would not be capping that flop unless villian was REALLY short and REALLY dumb...

I usually just bring $3.00 to the table at these .02/.04 games so I wont have to worry.

i have a friend that tries to recruit for FTR when playing drunk. he plays .05/.10 limit and sits with his WHOLE 200NL bankroll.

he thinks it gets people to want to come here to make more money.

i think he's just drunk...lol.
