I'm new to the table, so no useful reads.

Preflop: Hero is CO with K, A.
4 folds, MP3 calls, Hero raises, Button calls, 2 folds, MP3 calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 6, 3, 5 (3 players)
MP3 bets, Hero raises, Button folds, MP3 calls.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 5 (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero checks.

River: (5.75 BB) 3 (2 players)
MP3 bets, Hero ???

Turn check OK?

turn check is fine. tough spot. fold w/o a read I think. Stakes kinda matter here.

I don't really get the flop raise. I would probably call, but folding can't be too bad either.

this is practically a must-raise flop. Take a free card/increase pot with probably the best hand/plant seed-of-doubt in villain if he has something like 77/protect against the draws/opponent sucks at poker

I agree with the flop raise, take free card on turn.

On the river opp. could have just about anything. A4, 77, 87, K6, two clubs, etc. I think the odds are there to call down. Your play is consistent with overcards so he's going to know you missed and may well bet atc here.

I know I would in his place (barring a read). But at the same time a call is so often wrong here that I'm willing to give up on a fairly small pot. Too many people at these stakes (.1-.2) will call down with any pair, and I hate paying them off when they are actually ahead.

If you call you're betting that he was on a draw so your Ace kicker is either a win or a tie, meaning that you induced a bluff by checking the turn. OTOH your two raises may have led him to try a c/r on the turn with MP or better. Of course if he has any pair higher than fives you are DOA. 6.75:1 . . . I probably make a crying call but I suspect a fold is better. If you learn that he plays ATC then those ATC might well include a six, a trey, or a deuce. If he would only be playing high cards you may actually have a better chance, but...
Oh, no! Not another learning experience!
