Still getting used to this style and these stakes (2/4)
J7o in BB. MP1 raises and gets a cold call. MP1 is not above trying to stral from there -- at GG no one's ever above stealing. So I'm in a what-the-hell mood and put in the extra $2.
Flop QJ7 rainbow. I checkraise, both call.
Turn is 6, I bet, MP1 raises.I call
River is 2, or something dumb like that. I bet, MP1 raises

Fold pre-flop, call the river.

Check/raising the flop is best play on the possible steal. And leading the turn reinforces your strength...I think easy call on river just besause he may be trying to push you out due to your flop play. I like raising the river on a check/raiser sometimes just to see if I can get them to fold. But 2-pair is a strong enough hand to call a river raise on a rainbow with no straight draws. Hell I might even re-raise him depending on my read.

Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

Call the river.
All looks good except preflop, J7o is a terrible hand with very poor pot equity. You definately lost money on your preflop call.

I certainly concur, but am desperately looking for a way to keep my head above the water over at gamesgrid. Was using the contrarian theory -- when the table's real tight you loosen up. Not a solid theory.
Of course J7o is trash in any situation, at any table, and is therefore raise-or-fold. Just can't seem to muster the cojones to keep at a bluff over there. Cf. this hand -- notes appreciated

My BB, KJo versus a probable steal in LP. Button calls. Board was raggy and it checked around. Turn was T again, giving me nothing, but I checkraised. Both called (!)
River was an A but on account of my checkraise it checked around. You're not going to believe this ...
MHIG! That's right ... unimproved KJo versus 2 who called a CR. Scary table.

I have to ask, why are you playing at Games Grid if the games there are so bad?

Has something to do with the $5K bonus that's trickling in my direction
Also I think it is pretty skillful play, and am trying to take my game up a notch, so it's forcing me to study up.
FWIW I am up over there, +$60 after 4 days or so on my $500 deposit.

Lefou, the theory of playing loose when the table is tight works great for me at Gamesgrid. Although I tend to only use this when I'm in Mp3, Co, or button. I will play any suited connector and any two cards 10 or higher. Seems to work okay.
