why have poker sites made a move towards 9max tables intead of 10 max?

does this increase their rake ?

is there any advantage to the player at these tables ?

Some sites just have their full tables as 9 player tables instead of 10.

One example of a site with 9 player tables is Pokerstars.

One example of a site with 10 player tables is Party Poker.

An example of a site with even less is the B2B network, which has 8 man tables.

Stars's NLHE tables are 9max, but their LHE tables are 10
