BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (5.25 BB) 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: (5.25 BB) J (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7.25 BB

Villian is 52/37. Bets crap, limp/calls/reraises pairs and monsters. Has already bet off about 15BB to me in this session (Villian is in BB, the converter is off).

I think hand 2 is fine. I would think at least even the way you played, definitely call the river after calling the turn.

Hand 1, I would fold. Looks to me like a mid pocket pair that was afraid of the jack but then after you checked behind the turn and another jack fell on the river value bet second pair. You only need to win about 17% here, but I don't think you will win that often. Since you capped, they probably put you on 88+, AT+, so what do they bet with that you can beat? Other common possibilities for villain are A7s and A4s.
