given the huge ass pot, the coordinated nature of the board, and being out of position i think just checking the flop is a viable option.

first, you gain all information from the other players as if you had the button, and if everyone checks you know they didn't hit it and you can check raise whoever bets.

I'm mainly a NL player, just popped in to check up on things...but I'm curious - Why not bet preflop? Wanting to keep odds down to prevent people from drawing profitably?

I agree about checking the flop. Once that many people are in, might as well wait for the turn to get a larger bet in, or use your advantage to pull the check-raise mentioned above.

Given that, part of me likes re-raising on the turn. If you get re-re-raised, you can expect you're beat and possibly lay it down (I'm not sure about this in limit...might it be better to check/call?). Calling gets you no information and looks to me like you're playing it as if probably beaten from the flop.

Calling on the flop, on the other hand, would have made the pot smaller so that people on a draw would have less odds to continue calling if it didn't hit on the turn.

My .02, for what it's worth.

bleh, use the hand converter next time!

the pot looked like it was 20 bets!

flop raise was good then. cap the flop. bet out the turn, call down mode after.
