Hi guys,
both these hands are from yesterday night at 6-12 B&M . I am going to tell you the results upfront. I won both hands. But thats not the point. The point is based on the info, do you value bet these scary boards.

Hand 1: Kill Pot ($6-$12 is now $12-$24)
Preflop: Hero is Ac-As on the Button
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, CO calls
Flop: 8-8-9 (2 hearts on board)
Everyone checks, Hero bets, everyone calls

Turn: 8-8-9 -3
Everyone checks, Hero bets, everyone calls.

River: 8-8-9 -3-5 (no flush compeleted)
Everyone checks, Hero checks.

Hero wins the pot. someone shows 7-7, someone shows 5-5, others muck

a lot of the villains love to slowplay trips in kill pots to trap hero with a check raise on turn or river Here the pot is big already and I dont want to get check raised on river. I would have to call anyways due to pot size.So did i give up a lot of value by not betting the river. How often is my hand good here ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hand 1: $6-$12

Preflop: Hero is Kc-Ks on the MP3

Table has newer players now, has gotten loose and aggressive. i haven played 2 hand outside my blind in last 1.5-2 hours as almost every other pot is raised or 3-bet now.

UTG+1 calls, MP2 raises, Hero 3 bets, CO caps, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls.

Flop: A-2-8
everyone checks, Hero bets, everyone calls.

Turn: A-2-8-3
everyone checks, hero checks, everone checks.

River: A-2-8-3 -4
UTG+1 bets, Hero calls, rest of people fold.

Hero wins, UTG+1 shows J-9o.

UTG+1 is the bluff maniac raising, 3 betting and donating people money all night. I would have called him with K ing high if no other callers were there.

Should I have bet the turn ? there are 6 people in a capped kill pot and no one has the ace ? i have a feeling that i played it wrong but would you bet the turn on that multiway pot with that many people in. I check call the river anyways whatever hits. pots too big

Hand 1: I'd bet the river, you cant be afraid of a checkraise.

1. hand - nobody bet or check raised you on the turn. A 9x would bet and an 8x would bet or CR. River is a blank... looks safe to bet for value.

2.hand 2 - two 4-bet cold-calls hmm.

calling the turn was proper. If you raise and are 3 bet or capped behind...then your in a pickle.
I feel you played it well.
Gone golfing ..see ya in the Fall of 2006
PS. What did the snail on the turtle's back say?
Wheeeeeeeee........

hand 1: your results show someone had 55 and there was a river 5... you being dirty against the guy who didn't see his boat? hahah

hand 2: given the nastiness of the kill pot capped, i'm likely check/calling the river too
