Looks good. I think your aces might be best here. Probably up against Two other Pocket Pairs of some kind.

I would have sworn MP1 was on a flush draw. Nice pot.

I would bet the river, especially with two potential callers. I think you are just as likely to see two pocket pairs here as a flush draw, especially since you hold a diamond in your hand. Not impossible, but i hate checking my aces through on the river to find out they were good. Also, you really need to start focusing on reads here. PT notes, some hands youve seen, anything. Those sorts of things help in playing hands like this.

The check raise from MP1 implies too much strength to really put a bet out on the river. Also, the double call by the Button symbolizes something as well. Its tough to see here because they all checked, but if you were in the hand as well and that third flush card hit, I bet you check it here too. What hands does MP1 3-bet the flop but doesnt raise preflop, but then also check raises the turn? Its an EASY check on the river with a crying call to be made if need be.

MP1:
60 hands, 48% VPIP, 6% PFR
F=0.7, T=1, R=0.7

Button:
200 hands, 36% VPIP, 0.5% PFR
F=0.3, T=0.5, R=1.5

------

does that change any of your decisions people?

MP1 has 8h 9c (three of a kind, eights).
Hero has As Ad (two pair, aces and eights).
Button has Ah 2h (two pair, eights and twos).
Outcome: MP1 wins 23.50 BB.

Is there any reason you cap the flop (instead of calling the 3bet) with the board pair out there? Is it simply to keep the lead?
