ive found A9 and A10 to have -ev. has anyone else found this. my thoughts are that they arnt really great for games where 2/3 or so call the flop if you catch your 9 or 10 as normally people are going in with js qs and ks, and they always seem to pop up on the turn or river. Therefore i think they are good hands for catching an ace on flop, or heads up catching the 9 or 10 on flop but are risky in my opinion to callers. Id like to add that with A10 your gunna drawing with gutshot staight draws mainly and A9 not gunna be drawing that much.any one elses thoughts on these hands?

These hands are trouble in loose games because you either make a top pair hand with a weak kicker, or a poor second pair hand that can become an even worse third pair hand. Also they have no realistic chance of making the set or better hands that take down big pots in loose games.

Hands like AT, KT, etc. go down in value in loose games, esp. from early position. Hands like QJs, JTs go up. Even though the former hands are favourites against the latter HU, the latter are easier to play and make more big hands that are more likely to get paid off when many opponents are in the pot.

Those hands are breakeven (+/- 0.03 BB/hand) for me at FR, I would expect them to be a bit better than that shorthanded because of fewer multiway pots.
Oh, no! Not another learning experience!
