I'll spice this one up a bit for fun.
6max table - Been at the table around 50 hands or so. Been playing tight. I usually play tight but I couldn't find a reason to play much of anything imaginative. I get 8d 7d UTG. I raise. Next guy calls, so does the player after him, and the BB comes along. Not what I anticipated, but here we go. 4 players to the flop for 8sb's.
Flop is a rainbow 8QQ w/ 1 diamond. I'm halfway interested - BB checks, I bet, call, call, fold. Turn's a 5 completing the rainbow. Unamused by the flop action, I bet, fold, raise, I fold.

Umm.. Fold Preflop.
Other than that, standard. It was pretty obvious you were going to be beat, though

My fault, my OP didn't mention it was 6-max table.
Edited my OP.

I would still fold preflop. 87s is too speculative to be playing out of position. If it's an especially loose and passive table I might call (if the action at this table thus far lets me expect 4 or 5 players will call after me, and nobody will raise). I usually fold suited connectors from early position, and never raise them from early position (I don't usually raise them from late position either except as a blind steal attempt).
Post-flop you might want to go for a checkraise on the flop for protection (and to scare out someone with an 8 or mid-range pocket pair). But the way you played the flop also looks fine. Depends on the kind of opponents you are playing against. Turn play looks fine.

I wouldn't make this play at a table worth playing at. Online you're better off leaving the table then looking for plays like this.
In a 6 max game, I'm more inclined to call this down.

yep. do realize that aware players will see the 2 queens as an opportunity to do the common flop check/call, turn check/raise bluff.

I would agree preflop is fair - poor. I only made the play hoping to pick up the blinds or catch a favorable flop.
When I bet the flop, a player behind me calls, then the player behind him calls. I bet the turn, fold, raise. This looks like a classic, "wait to turn to raise" play since he would be trapping two of us. Either that, or he knew I knew that and raised with nothing. I think next time I'd a) leave the table before making this play or b) check/call the turn.
