When is it correct to use the double bet option when there is a pair on 4th (yours or someone elses)

Lets take a few cases

1. Heads up - you have trip 4 with pair of 4s vs opponent with QJ who raised preflop, you were the BI
2. Heads up - you have an open pair of J with KQ in the hole vs opponent showing TK
3. You have an open pair of 7s with AK in the hole vs opponent with xK3, who probably has a pair of K
4. You have an open pair of K vs opponent with an QJ showing

I was just wondering the same thing.
I went for the double bet here thinking that i might get one call and then a fold. So i thought i would try to get as much out of the one call as i could.
Obv it didnt work.

I think double betting with trips is a bit overboard and will probably scare most other players away
