I should have folded 3rd, but given the hand do you bet this river hoping he has a busted low ?

With your board showing I don't see how you couldn't bet, incase he has an ace high w/ busted low or something. I think it moreso depends on if he can fold for one bet? In my experience with .5/1 and 1/2 there are plenty of people who will call here with nearly anything.

That was my logic for betting, he called with a pair of 6's

Should he call there? I say that in reference to this:

With the size of the pot I think he should call, it comes down to probablilty, when you have to call $2 into a $20 pot you have to be correct 1 out of 10 times, if I had to guess I think in those situations I am calling probably 1:7-1:8 or better
